In addition to Lauren, Trey, Dieter and Stephen, Kristin Cavallari and Lo Bosworth were also part of the show’s cast.
The popular MTV documentary series came to an end after three seasons in November 2006.
In 2020, the Laguna Beach co-stars reunited via Zoom to reflect on their time on the show.
At the time, Stephen said, “I feel like the last time we were all in the same room was when we were going to the VMAs.”
And he recalled the process of becoming TV stars: “MTV said, ‘Here we’re going to launch this show and here’s 45 minutes of media training.’ Go have fun and then this show will air on MTV. Good luck!”’

Laguna Beach premiered in 2004 and followed the lives of the students of Laguna Beach High School.
During the 30-minute virtual reunion, the cast of 1 rehashed old memories and how the series paved the way for future reality TV shows.
“That was the most interesting part of our experience: Reality TV didn’t exist before Laguna Beach,” Christina Sinclair explained.
‘In hindsight, we would all have been very different if we had been exposed to reality TV like we are now. In a way, I feel like that’s what made Laguna Beach so iconic. “We really went in with no expectations, no idea what we were doing,” he added.
Despite MTV’s emphasis on the “reality” element of the series, Cavallari admitted that the cast had to do “a lot of pickup scenes”, which meant that parts of the show were shown “out of order”.
She recalled having to “pretend prom just happened” and then being told to “pretend prom didn’t happen.”
Trey added: “It’s crazy because I remember watching it when it first came out and every time you’re like, ‘That’s not exactly like that.’ “They changed this.”
