Lauren Boebert was the latest in a long line of Republican loyalists to Donald Trump to appear Thursday at his ongoing criminal trial in Manhattan.

Boebert appeared alongside Florida Republicans. Anna Paulina Luna, Michael Waltz and Matt Gaetz, Andy Ogles of Tennessee and Arizona Republican Andy Biggs.

‘President Trump is not going anywhere,’ Boebert said while the hecklers interrupted her. ‘And we’re not going anywhere either. “We are here to support you.”

But her presence was roundly mocked after it was noted how the Republican representative failed to appear at the criminal trial of her own teenage son Tyler.

Tyler Boebert, 18, was arrested in late February and faces felony charges in connection with a series of recent vehicle break-ins and property thefts in Rifle, Colorado.

During a court appearance earlier this week, Tyler told the judge he was facing financial difficulties and could not afford a lawyer.

His mother, who earns at least $175,000 a year as the U.S. representative for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, did not attend her son’s court hearing.

This led some critics to question her decisions as a mother.

‘Lauren Boebert in court to support Trump but absent from her son’s court date. Is there anything else she can do to show how terrible of a role model she is as a caring and responsible mother? asked Bill Smith in X.

‘Boebert fails to show up for her son’s criminal court dates, where she says she cannot afford a lawyer. Instead, the MAGA Mother of the Year is in New York lending a hand to Donald Trump,” said former Republican operative Ron Filipkowski.

‘As Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert travel to New York City to attend Trump’s trial, here’s a reminder that Boebert’s teenage son, Tyler Boebert, was in court 7 days ago, without his mother and without a lawyer (he said he was having trouble paying for one). Lauren Boebert earns at least $175,000 a year. Just saying…’ wrote Democrat Brian Krassenstein.

In late February, things took another unfortunate turn for Boebert after police detained her son, Tyler, 18, in Rifle, Colorado, on 22 different charges.

The Republican lawmaker’s son faces nearly two dozen different charges, including four counts of criminal possession of a financial device, three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and three counts of theft under $300.

He also faces four counts of criminal possession of identification documents of multiple victims, one count of conspiracy to commit a felony and more than 15 additional misdemeanors and misdemeanors, according to local law enforcement.

He and three underage accomplices are accused of breaking into four cars to steal wallets so they could make purchases at local businesses.

At a hearing with Judge Nieley in April, Tyler told the court he could not afford an attorney for his trial.

“We’re working on hiring a lawyer, but it’s been a little difficult with pricing, but we’re working on it,” the teen said at the time.

Tyler will appear in court on June 15.

Just days after the teen’s arrest made national headlines, a woman came forward alleging that Tyler Boebert ransacked her car and took $75 in cash, two Venmo debit cards and her mother’s credit card.

‘[The woman] informed [police that] “He has a brain tumor and now has no money for surgery,” the cops wrote in the affidavit.

The woman’s driver’s license was also inside the stolen wallet, the arresting officer wrote, before revealing that the thieves returned it to her in the mail a few days after the alleged theft, which occurred on February 21.

Rifle police have said the four involved in the crime spent their ill-gotten gains at McDonald’s, Starbucks and local gas stations.

Thieves tried to use the brain tumor-stricken woman’s two Venmo cards at a nearby Kum & Go gas station, according to a court document that cites transaction records.

They also attempted to use their mother’s credit card, before allegedly using the cash and cards stolen from the four cars to buy food at a nearby McDonald’s, although banks soon began rejecting the charges.

They also attempted to order $717 worth of merchandise from Shein.com, the officer wrote, as well as $175 from Kum and Go and $10.95 from Starbucks.

Boebert herself is trying to win a seat in the state’s 4th Congressional District after two terms in the 3rd.

Boebert has been fighting the perception among liberals and even some moderate Republicans of her reckless nature, with a series of scandals dotting her time in office, most infamously when she was asked to leave a performance of Beetlejuice for sexually groping his date.

Boebert, who divorced her husband in 2023 amid allegations of domestic abuse, was filmed lashing out at theater staff after being kicked out of the performance.

Surveillance footage shows Boebert, wearing a tight, low-cut gold dress and high heels, making a considerable fuss as she and a mysteriously handsome man are ordered out.

She can be seen taking a selfie as she leaves the auditorium and angrily flashes her teeth at the staff as they escort her down the hall.

It marked just the latest drama involving the politician whose biggest hits include allegations that she hit her ex-husband, accusations of pulling a gun on an Obama-supporting staffer and trying to prove that a WWE star was her biological father. .
