- The former Tottenham star told Woods to ‘stop’ after realizing his mistake
Laura Woods has taken on Jamie O’Hara after the former Spurs midfielder claimed Jesse Lingard should join Jose Mourinho over North London rival Arsenal.
Lingard has enjoyed a prolific period at West Ham after coming over from Manchester United in a lease change in January, scoring eight goals in nine appearances for David Moyes’ side as they attempted to seal an unlikely place in the Champions League next season.
The 28-year-old’s red-hot form has linked him this week with players like Paris Saint Germain, Real Madrid and Inter Milan, while Premier League side Arsenal is reportedly keeping an eye on the Englishman.
I personally don’t think there is any point in leaving West Ham to join Arsenal. They are average!
¿¿¿He should join Tottenham, we are miles above Arsenal … ¿

Laura Woods (L) has charged Jamie O’Hara (R) with his comments about Arsenal and Spurs
TalkSPORT expert O’Hara said Jesse Lingard should join Tottenham above London rival Arsenal
And O’Hara, 34, a regular expert on talkSPORT, explained that Lingard had to choose to join his former side over Mikel Arteta’s Gunners, before the annoyed breakfast host succinctly gave six rebuttals to his claim.
“I personally don’t think there is any point in leaving West Ham to go to Arsenal,” said the former Spurs, Wolves and Blackpool star.
‘I don’t think Arsenal will be raising trees in the coming seasons, I don’t see them going out and spending a lot of money.
‘He should go to Tottenham because they are a club that goes to …’
Former Spurs midfielder, 34, insisted Jose Mourinho’s squad be ‘miles above’ Arsenal
However, breakfast show host Woods succinctly refuted O’Hara’s opinion with six comments
At this point, Woods, an Arsenal fan, interrupts her co-host to ask him about his analysis.
“Why would he go to Tottenham if he didn’t go to Arsenal?” she asks, to which O’Hara replies: ‘Because we are miles above Arsenal’.
Unconvinced, Woods replies, “Well, you’re not. You are currently a few points above Arsenal ‘.
‘Arsenal is so average. So average, ”a hitherto imperturbable O’Hara took revenge.
Woods then reminds O’Hara, “But you just destroyed Spurs all morning.”
Realizing he was wrong, O’Hara asks the radio station’s breakfast host to stop
“We’re in the middle of a rebuild,” O’Hara insisted, to which Woods responded, “Your best player [Harry Kane] probably leaves in the summer. ‘
“This is true,” admits O’Hara, before Woods pranks her co-host by adding, “You have a manager that doesn’t even make your team want to play for him.”
Realizing he may have made a mistake comparing the two sides, O’Hara told Woods to ‘stop it’ with a wry smile before the breakfast show host said, ‘Your fans don’t even want to see you play, why would you do that? Does Jesse Lingard want to go there? ‘
Supporters have picked up the viral clip, with fans comparing Woods to pundit Roy Keane
Football supporters have picked up on the exchange, with a Twitter user saying, ‘@laura_woodsy is going to be full of Roy Keane on Jamie O’Hara’. The talkSPORT presenter responded with smiling emojis.
Full Roy Keane. So true, ‘wrote one fan. “If that was a football game,” Woodsy just did it, “Jamie O’Hara Haland [sic] style. Don’t mess with Woodsy. Look at her face, no sign of compassion. It should not be tampered with. ‘
Another user said ‘@laura_woodsy tell him how you really feel. Wanted to’.
The no-nonsense Sky Sports pundit is known for not getting his words out of the TV studio
One supporter indicated that O’Hara was not in depth when he included the popular presenter: ‘Mismatch of the century when it comes to a football debate, she screwed it up’.
Lingard seized the opportunity for the injured Hammers to help Moyes’ side beat Leicester 3-2 in a crucial top four clash on Sunday that keeps them in fourth position with just seven games left of the 2020 season- 21 to go.
The Irons are just one point ahead of London rival Chelsea in fifth place, while champions Liverpool are three points behind in sixth place.
The Foxes are one point ahead of the East London side and are at risk of being dropped from the top four, as was the case last season.
