Four-time gold medalist Laura Kenny CRASHES while British cyclist is bleeding and bruised at the track cycling world championships, just a month after breaking her shoulder

Laura Kenny was left with a bloody face after having crashed in the omnium scratch race at the World Championship track cycling.
The most successful female Olympian in Great Britain was eliminated just before the last 30 laps and got a nasty cut near her right eye.
Kenny was immediately tested for concussion, calling into question her participation in the rest of Friday’s omnium.

She broke her shoulder during a race last month and admitted that competing in Berlin was a “risk.”
The four-time Olympic gold medalist broke her shoulder during a World Cup event in Canada last month and she admitted her return to the World Championships was a risk.
Kenny landed on the same right side as she fell on a month ago and it is unknown whether she caused further damage to her shoulder. She saw laughter with the British team doctor when she rose again.
The British rider finished fourth in Wednesday’s scratch race and then pursued Thursday’s women’s team before making way for the final, which Great Britain lost to the US to claim silver.
Even though she was shaken and left with a bloody face, Kenny finally got a smile
Friday’s scratch race was the first of four events in the omnium. Kenny hoped to win a second medal here in Berlin.
The Dutch woman Kirsten Wild was demoted to cause the crash, with Kenny and four other riders being eliminated.
A bloody Kenny could get up again, but the Mexican rider Lizbeth Salazar was taken away on a stretcher.
