Talk about Mamamia’s new podcast Me After You, the 33-year-old said she felt “hurt and ashamed” when she said was criticized for sharing a photo with her fiancé Matty ‘J’ Johnson and their week-old daughter, with a smoke sign nailed to the wall behind them.

‘I find it so interesting that people quickly assume the worst. It was just a picture of a few seconds in our lives, and I wasn’t actually doing anything wrong, ”she said.

“There was no one else on the balcony at the time, and I hadn’t even noticed the sign. I responded to the first few, but soon the comments got more and more pointed, ”she added.

Laura explained that women criticized her parenting and said she was an “irresponsible” mother for taking her new baby to a smoking room.

She said, “I felt drained and overwhelmed. I was just trying to do my best as a new mom, which is why it felt so painful. ‘

In July 2019, Laura shared a family photo on Instagram while enjoying her first family outing with her fiancé and baby girl.

The Bachelor stars had lunch at Bondi Icebergs when they decided to step out onto the balcony for a quick photo for the scenic backdrop.

But many of her followers couldn’t see past the ‘SMOKE AREA’ sign nailed to the wall behind the trio.

“I hope no one smoked while you had your baby out there … cute picture,” one person commented.

The loving new mom replied that she hadn’t even noticed the sign behind them. “Everyone in front of us was eating. I didn’t even realize the smoking room was behind us. Looks like it’s just one man, we’re good, ”she said.

Another follower wrote: ‘I love how you stand in the smoking room. Beautiful lil (sic) fam (sic). ‘

Laura was clearly fed up and quickly said she was being attacked by the ‘mummy mafia’. ‘
