Laura Byrne has revealed the going away gift she bought her husband Matty ‘J’ Johnson before he headed into the I’m A Celebrity jungle.
The Bachelor star, 38, was chatting with his Life Uncut podcast host Brittany Hockley about the ‘vanilla’ summer vacation he spent with Matty and their kids Marlie-May, five, and Lola, three , before her husband’s reality show.
Disappointed by the lack of funny anecdotes from her free time, Laura revealed that she bought a saucy marriage assistant for Matty as a sort of going away gift.
“I was thinking what I’m going to bring to entertain everyone, so I bought act*** ring online,” Laura confessed.
‘I wanted to send Matt off with a bang. He’s never tried one. I’ve never tried one.
“Matt is quite a 180 and has always been a 180 – not in a bad way, we have good sex, don’t get me wrong – he’s just never been adventurous.”

Budget-conscious Laura admitted she made her daring purchase in the Black Friday sales, however Matty wasn’t too impressed when it arrived in the post.
‘I got it in the mail and thought, “Hey, maybe we should try this?”
“There wasn’t a lot of enthusiasm…so I just put it to the bedside and didn’t really think about it.”
Laura, who added that the electric vanity accessory came complete with a “scary” number of settings, said that before the couple could road test the item, it was discovered by their daughter Lola.
“I had been carrying it for two days and I had forgotten about it,” he said.
“Lola was the one who ruined the anticipation when she came downstairs wearing it like a fully vibrating bracelet.”
Lola, who is used to wearing her mother’s jewelry at home, was quite enthralled with her new bracelet and even wanted to take it to daycare.
“I was walking around the house and I was like, ‘Mom, this one’s moving,'” Laura said.
‘I was thinking what I’m going to bring to entertain everyone, so I bought act*** ring online,’ Laura confessed.
The device was discovered by his daughter Lola, who wore it as a bracelet throughout the house.
“Luckily, he only figured out how to put it on the lowest setting because, my God, this thing packs a punch.”
“He liked it so much that he wanted to put it in his daycare backpack,” she added.

After convincing Lola to give up on the item, it was time for the big day when Laura and Matty put the item to the test.
However, things did not go as planned.
“Then Saturday night comes and it’s about to start. I was like, ‘Hey, why don’t we try what Lola had in her writing yesterday?'” Laura said.
Unfortunately, Laura’s cut-price marriage assistant didn’t work out and both she and Matty admitted the experience wasn’t all that stellar.
“I took it out and asked Matt to put it on and it’s very anticlimactic; I absolutely hated it,” she admitted.
“I was walking around the house and I was like, ‘Mom, this one’s moving,'” Laura said.
“He said, ‘This is the most horrible feeling.’ He said, ‘It feels like someone is strangling my p**** while shaking it really hard.’
And it seems the feeling was mutual, with Laura admitting: ‘The highest position of this ring was almost like it was trying to sand my c***oris.
‘I’m not even joking. You could use it as a Bunnings tool if you were trying to prepare a wall for painting.’
After getting engaged in Fiji in April 2018, Laura and Matty finally tied the knot on the south coast in November 2022, five years after meeting on The Bachelor.
They are one of the most successful couples to come out of the show and welcomed their daughter Marlie-Mae in 2019, followed by Lola in February 2021.
