Lateysha previously spoke exclusively to MailOnline about her horrific near-death experience and how she almost “gave up” on having more children.

The reality star discovered she had an ectopic pregnancy in October 2023 after being ‘incorrectly told’ she had had an abortion a month earlier.

She was rushed to hospital for urgent surgery because she had internal bleeding, after weeks of suffering serious blood clots, back pain and shoulder pain.

After having a tube removed during surgery, Lateysha said she felt “less of a woman” because she was told her chances of conceiving again would be very slim.

Sharing her horrific experience amid her bittersweet baby announcement, Lateysha said: ‘Two months into my pregnancy, I started bleeding a lot, like blood clots and everything.

“So I went to the hospital and they basically told me I was having a miscarriage and to go home and deal with it. I was obviously upset about it, but I moved on with life, especially when you have two kids. You just have to do it.

‘When I was working on Dating Naked on MTV, I would go to the office. He was obviously a little upset. But I felt good about myself.

‘And then I remember I started having back pain in my shoulder, like pain in the tip of my shoulder. I actually had my period, but I don’t think looking back it was my period, that’s clearly bleeding.

“Then I remember waking up one day, I think I was three or maybe four months pregnant, and I collapsed on the bathroom floor.

“I thought something didn’t feel right. I’ll never forget that feeling, it was the worst feeling in the world. I thought that like I was dying. Like I was really dying. It makes me emotional when I think about it.”

What is an ectopic pregnancy?

An ectopic pregnancy is when a fertilized egg implants outside the uterus, usually in one of the fallopian tubes.

The fallopian tubes are the tubes that connect the ovaries to the uterus.

If an egg gets stuck in them, it will not become a baby and your health may be at risk if the pregnancy continues.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to save the pregnancy.

It usually needs to be removed through medication or surgery.

In the UK, approximately 1 in 90 pregnancies is ectopic. This is equivalent to about 11,000 pregnancies a year.

She said: “I told my partner and I said, ‘Call my mum.’ It’s strange at a time like that. You think, ‘I’ll call the ambulance,’ but I just wanted to talk to my mum.

“My partner rushed me to the hospital. And then they took care of me right away and they were going to send me home, which is crazy.

“And then a doctor came to see me and said something wasn’t right. Then they did blood samples and the blood showed that I was still pregnant.

“Literally within 15 minutes they canceled all the operations for that day, they delayed them and I went to the operating room, they did a scan and they scanned me and they just confirmed that it was ectopic and told me that I had internal bleeding.”

The TV personality said doctors told her she “would have died” if she hadn’t gone to the hospital.

After her surgery, Lateysha described the feeling of waking up without a tube, as well as the loss of her baby.

She added: ‘I remember looking at my stomach and. He had all these scars. And they came in and said, we took one of your tubes. It just makes you feel like less of a woman. But obviously you’re not.

“It was one of the most depressing things I’ve ever been through. I think for months I would sit there and every time I thought about it, I would literally cry my eyes out. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. It was horrible. Absolutely horrible.”

‘After that, I just gave up. I just thought I would never get pregnant again. I was kind of negative about it.

“I was completely scarred by it and thought, you know what? God has blessed me with two children, I just need to accept the fact that I will never be able to have another pregnancy, because I was told, and the chances are obviously much smaller because one has been taken away.” of their tubes.

She said: ‘It’s funny, we weren’t trying (for a baby). We wanted a baby, but we weren’t actively trying. That’s why it was an absolute shock to us when we obviously found out we were pregnant.

“I’ve been very worried, I think that’s why I’ve kept it quiet for so long. Like when I found out I was pregnant, I obviously felt very happy, but it’s a very strange feeling.

‘Like I still feel sadness for the baby I lost, if that makes sense. I feel very lucky and blessed to have had the opportunity to reload. But yeah, it’s strange. It’s very strange. “I’m very nervous, very nervous and thinking.”
