Larry Emdur is in the running for a coveted Gold Logie next month and on Monday he revealed the hilarious way he recently “lost” a vote from one of his fans.
The 59-year-old Morning Show co-host is currently in the remote town of Marble Bar, Washington, and shared a photo on Instagram showing him standing outside a portable toilet.
Larry looked dejected as he endured sweltering heat in the region, which is considered Australia’s hottest city with temperatures averaging more than 30 degrees in winter.
He explained that he had an embarrassing encounter with a fan after using the portable toilet.
“How to lose a Gold Logie vote in 30 seconds. After two days of fried food and whisky, I stepped into the portable toilet at the campsite in Australia’s hottest town,” she explained in the caption.
‘As I walked out, a beautiful woman holding her toilet roll was ready to pounce and said, ‘Oohhhh Larry, I vote for you for a Gold Logie.’
“I said, ‘I’m pretty sure after you get in that portable toilet you won’t be voting for me,'” he joked.
Many of Larry’s famous friends were quick to express their amusement at the post.
“We need to get you one of our new hats! That’s from the 1920s!” joked Carrie Bickmore, with Big Brother star Reggie Bird adding: “Hahahaha!”
