How Larry Emdur narrowly avoided being dragged into the Noosa fight between Michael Clarke and Karl Stefanovic as it was revealed that he ran into the two men hours before their fight on camera.
Larry Emdur is thanking his lucky stars after he narrowly avoided being dragged into Michael Clarke’s embarrassing fight in Noosa with Karl Stefanovic in January.
The Morning Show host was in Noosa at the time of the fight, and even met up with Clarke, Stefanovic and friends, including famed accountant Anthony Bell, just hours before the now-infamous brawl in the park, according to Confidential.
Emdur, 58, has been friends with Clarke, 41, for many years, even inviting the cricketer to his 50th birthday party in 2015.
The Chase host was also spotted partying with Clarke and then-girlfriend Pip Edwards aboard a $15 million superyacht in December 2020 as they celebrated the sportsman’s receiving the Order of Australia.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Emdur for comment.

Clarke made global headlines in January when footage surfaced of the retired athlete arguing with his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough, 41, in a park in Noosa, after she accused him of sleeping with her ex Edwards.
In the video, which was filmed by a bystander on January 10 and sold to The Daily Telegraph for $10,000, Jade accused the former Test captain of cheating on her with her old flame Pip on December 17.
Others in the group, including Stefanovic, his wife Jasmine, Jade’s older sister, and famed accountant Bell, tried to defuse the fight.
The Morning Show host was in Noosa at the time of the fight, and even met up with Clarke, Stefanovic and friends, including famed accountant Anthony Bell, just hours before the now-infamous fight at the park, according to Confidential.
Dramatic footage showed a shirtless Michael being yelled at and slapped by his hysterical girlfriend.
A remorseful Clarke has since taken full responsibility for what happened.
I am absolutely heartbroken, I have put people I hold in the highest regard in this position. My actions in the lead up to this altercation were nothing short of shameful and regrettable,” he said.

“I am devastated that by my actions I have brought women of class and integrity, and my peers, into this situation.”
Edwards also issued a statement the night the images were released.
‘This is not my circus. Once again, Michael in the true nature of him has not taken responsibility for his actions and I was blatantly lied to,” he told Daily Mail Australia.
