This is the moment Liz Truss failed to get her book in the right position on Fox News after endorsing Donald Trump.
Mrs Truss, the shortest-serving prime minister in British history, appeared on the news channel yesterday to showcase her new book, titled Ten Years to Save the West.
A clip posted on X shows the MP chatting to presenter Brian Kilmeade on live television before she twice fails to hold her book in the correct position.
‘It’s good to see you, and here’s my new book. “I’ll pick it up…sorry, I’ll put it forward, there we are,” she says as she struggles to hold him properly.
An op-ed by Ms. Truss titled The Deep State Awaits Trump was published this week in the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), in which she writes: “His second term will be much like mine without confronting entrenched bureaucracy.” .

Ms Truss served as UK Prime Minister for just 49 days in 2022, resigning amid a government crisis. This made her the shortest-serving prime minister in British history.

In the new book, a memoir, Truss summarizes her 49 days in office before stepping down as prime minister.
The MP, who was the last of 15 prime ministers to serve Queen Elizabeth II, also reveals how the monarch advised her to pace herself.
Truss met the Queen at Balmoral just two days before her death in September 2022.
