Twin Peaks star Lara Flynn has made a rare comment about her past romance with Jack Nicholson, whom she referred to as a “big part” of her life, in a new interview.
Reflecting on their on-again, off-again relationship, the 54-year-old actress praised what she sees as “seven years of great times.”
“It’s been a wonderful seven years,” said the Davenport native, who married Texas real estate investor Donald Ray Thomas in 2006.
Although Boyle said she is no longer dating the 87-year-old three-time Oscar winner, she confirmed to People That they still keep in touch.
As for how her ex is doing now, the Emmy nominee said Nicholson was “making magic.”

“Jack’s world will always be there. There is no retreat from Jack’s world. Never,” he said, even though Nicholson has not appeared in a film since 2010’s How Do You Know.
Boyle and Nicholson were romantically linked in 1991.
After several breakups and reconciliations, they finally separated in 2006, just before she met her current husband.
Flynn also took the opportunity to debunk claims that she met Nicholson while dating her then-boyfriend David Spade.
In 2015, the Saturday Night Live alum claimed that “Nicholson asked Lara Flynn Boyle out in front of me while we were all smoking a joint somewhere.”
He remembered Details that Boyle “got angry” because he didn’t tell Nicholson to stop.
Spade then insisted that he had been “in this town long enough to know when” he was “outranked.”
In response to her telling Boyle she would “either date him or not,” Spade claimed she said, “No way. He’s worse than Trump!”

Three decades later, Boyle emphatically denied the story, insisting that it “never happened.”
“I think some people like to glamorize that to give it publicity,” he said.
After her relationship with Nicholson, Boyle said she never dated another movie star.
“I left with a bang as far as actors are concerned,” he reflected.

“A lot of it is just getting older,” she said. “A lot of it is just being prepared and I’ve been very fortunate, I’ve had a lot of lovely gentlemen come to me. I’ve had a great time and met some wonderful men that I’ve spent time with, learned from and grown with. It was just the right time.”
Lara, who was born in Iowa, moved to California to work as a child actress in the 1986 film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
He then appeared in Amerika in 1987 and then in Dead Poets Society in 1989.
In December, the actress, who splits her time between Los Angeles and Texas, and her husband, Donald Ray Thomas, will celebrate 18 years of marriage (seen in 2007).
Flynn is best known for playing Donna Hayward in the hit series Twin Peaks; seen in 1990.
She rose to fame when she landed the role of Donna Hayward in Twin Peaks from 1990 to 1991.
In the 1990s she appeared in several films, including Threesome and Afterglow, and then returned to television with The Practice in 1997.
In 2002, she had another chance in the cinema alongside Will Smith in Men in Black II and then went on to work on Huff.
But in 2005 she returned to television with Las Vegas alongside Josh Duhamel and Molly Sims. In 2009 she participated in Baby On Board and then in Life Is Hot In Cracktown.
Her next appearance will be in the film Mother, Couch, which opens this Friday.
Before dating Nicholson and Spade, she was in a relationship with her Twin Peaks co-star Kyle MacLachlan and was briefly married to John Patrick Dee III from 1996 to 1998.
