The Wire star Lance Reddick has died aged 60, just one day after posting a photo of himself relaxing at home with his dogs on Instagram.

Reddick, who played Cedric Daniels on the hit TV series, is believed to have died of natural causes, law enforcement officials said. TMZ.

Her body was reportedly discovered at her home in Studio City, California at 9:30 a.m. Friday morning.

Just yesterday he uploaded a photo of himself snuggling up with his dogs at home to an Instagram post about National Puppy Day.

Reddick was in the middle of a promotional tour for his John Wick franchise and was scheduled to appear on The Kelly Clarkson Show next week.

He did not explain why he chose not to attend the event.

DailyMail.com has reached out to the actor’s representatives for comment.

On Wednesday, Reddick posted a selfie with his dogs where he appeared to be at home, but did not reveal why he missed the New York premiere of the latest John Wick movie.

Reddick will arguably be best remembered for his role as Lt. Cedric Daniels on HBO’s hit show The Wire.

The actor enjoyed roles in blockbuster movies like Godzilla vs. Kong and Angel has fallen.

He also had recurring roles on hit TV shows Fringe, Oz, Bosch, and Lost.

The son of Dorothy Gee and Solomon Reddick, Lance was born in Baltimore, Maryland, where he attended the private Quaker Friends School of Baltimore.

He then went on to study music at Peabody Preparatory Institute, before moving on to acting.

In the early ’90s, Reddick attended the Yale School of Drama, eventually receiving a Master of Fine Arts in 1994.

Despite landing high-profile roles on TV shows like The Wire, Reddick managed to keep his private life out of the limelight.

He leaves behind his wife of more than two decades, Stephanie Reddick, it is unclear if the couple had any children.
