Lana Del Rey has made her first official statement about her stormy marriage to Jeremy Dufrene.
At Thursday night’s InStyle Imagemaker Awards, the 39-year-old musical artist told a red carpet reporter about her union with the 49-year-old alligator swamp tour guide: “It’s good.” We are happy.’
She delivered the brief statement with a dreamy smile on her face after arriving in a white, sparkly, tiered Valentino dress and a matching fur shawl.
Del Rey surprised her fans when it emerged that she had married the Louisiana-based guide on September 26.
The singer previously broke her silence about their romance in a comment left on an Instagram fan account.

On @LanaBoards, she wrote: “Unfortunately, a local Houma couple keeps flying drones into our windows every morning and following us with a tracker.”
The performer, whose real name is Elizabeth Grant, continued: “But if Sara Michelle Champagne and Kruesch (a famous New Orleans paparazzi) could stop changing vehicles to follow the family and stop following us around remote parts of the country and turn my wedding ring into a pearl with Photoshop.” – I know we would feel much safer.’
He added: ‘All that being said, Jeremy is the only one. And surprising. And we are very happy.’
Del Rey and Dufrene tied the knot in an intimate waterside ceremony in Des Allemands, Louisiana, just a month after going public with their romance and five years after meeting each other.
After the ceremony, Jeremy’s ex-fiancée revealed that he and Lana’s wedding took her by surprise.
She said she learned he had walked down the aisle when she was shown photographs the next morning.
Kelli Welsh, who was engaged to Dufrene for 12 years before they split in October 2023, told DailyMail.com she was “shocked” at how quickly they said, “I do.”
“I’m shocked because we were engaged for 12 years and he got married after a month,” she shared.

He added: ‘But I’m happy for him. He is a very protective, hard-working and manly man. He needed to get out of his comfort zone. He was used to life in the swamps and being in the swamp. He is worthy of this blessing.”
Welsh and Dufrene began dating as teenagers, when she was 16 and he was 19, but they broke up after a year.
He then married his first wife, Gina, with whom he shares three children: two sons and a daughter.
A year after the marriage ended, she rekindled with Welsh.
