Barcelona stars have revealed that wonderkid Lamine Yamal is the dressing room DJ and the players received an exclusive Spotify Wrapped.

The Spanish giants have been associated with the music streaming giant since the start of the 2022/23 season.

Under the terms of the £236m deal, Spotify became the main shirt sponsor and the club’s stadium was renamed the Spotify Camp Nou.

The stars of Barcelona’s men’s first team were quizzed about who is in charge of the locker room music as part of the annual Spotify Wrapped, which reveals to users the top five musicians, songs and genres during the year.

Yamal confirmed that he has taken control of the dressing room music, despite being one of the youngest stars at 17 years old.

“It’s me, I’m the DJ,” Yamal said.

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski, 36, said Yamal’s age made him the perfect choice to take charge of the music.

“He’s the youngest, so he has to do this and I think he plays very good music,” Lewandowksi said.

As part of Spotify Wrapped, Barcelona players received their personalized data for the year.

Spotify surprised players by having their Wrapped data printed on the back of their Barcelona shirts.

Yamal, Lewandowski, Raphinha and Jules Kounde were among those who received personalized jerseys from the men’s team.

Spanish rapper and singer Morad was revealed to be Yamal’s top artist in 2024.

Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmati and Alexia Putellas were the stars of the women’s team when receiving the data.

Spotify and Barcelona have also collaborated to create match day playlists with top songs selected by the club’s men’s and women’s teams.

As part of its sponsorship deal, Spotify has featured numerous notable artists on Barcelona jerseys during big matches in recent seasons.

The Coldplay logo appeared on Barcelona’s shirts during the first Clásico of the season against Real Madrid in October.

Previous t-shirt acquisitions have included artists such as KAROL G, The Rolling Stones, ROSALÍA and Drake.
