Lakers fire coach Darvin Ham via PHONE after NBA playoff exit… with JJ Redick among candidates to join Los Angeles

The Lakers reportedly fired coach Darvin Ham after Los Angeles’ loss to the Denver Nuggets in the NBA playoffs.

According ESPNLakers general manager Rob Pelinka informed Ham of the team’s decision during a phone call.

The Athletic reports that an extensive search for Ham’s replacement will begin soon, with Mike Budenholzer, Kenny Atkinson, JJ Redick and Clippers coach Ty Lue among the names in the frame.
