Lainey Wilson sweetly gave a Make-A-Wish kid the thrill of a lifetime and also teased Yellowstone’s return just days after star Kevin Costner confirmed he won’t be returning to his popular series.
The 31-year-old star appeared on the Today show on Tuesday morning to perform a few songs from her upcoming album Whirlwind, but the best moment of all was when she made a young fan’s dream come true.
Her superfan Payton, an 11-year-old girl who suffers from cystic fibrosis and was even so inspired by her idol that she formed a band, was summoned to the stage and hugged by the country star, who told her incredible news.
Lainey said: “This is very special to me, you also have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen in my life, but tomorrow night I will be playing at Radio City (Music Hall) and I would love to give you tickets for you and your family and have them”. ‘everything there.

Her love interest in Yellowstone was Dutton Ranch cowboy Ryan, played by Ian Bohen.
“I think Taylor Sheridan writes her stories and has a beautiful way of taking things back and letting go. I’ll be surprised. We’ll see what happens.”
On the other hand, Lainey noted that his touring schedule could hinder his Yellowstone ambitions.
The award-winning star admitted that her tour dates could coincide with filming, meaning she wouldn’t be able to commit to the next season.
Lainey said: ‘What you don’t see on my calendar is the rehearsal for the Cool Again tour of this country. And that’s supposed to be a week or two. So you better let me know.
