Los Angeles FC goalkeeper John McCarthy wowed in front of a star-studded crowd at BMO Stadium with an incredible first-half save on Sunday night.
LAFC hosted Inter Miami in MLS on Sunday night as Lionel Messi looked to bolster his playoff hopes.
The stars traveled to the City of Angels to catch a glimpse of the World Cup winner in action, but McCarthy denied them the chance to catch a glimpse of Messi finding the back of the net.
Towards the end of the first half, with Miami already leading 1-0 thanks to Facundo Farias’ opener, McCarthy made a sensational save to prevent Messi from doubling the lead.
The Argentinian scored on goal thanks to a sublime pass from Diego Gomez with only McCarthy between him and the goal.
