Prince William honored Sir Ridley Scott for his services to the film industry at Windsor Castle today.
The Gladiator director was made a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire, with photos showing him proudly receiving his medal from the royal.
Also attending the castle today were Lioness Mary Earps and England legend Peter Shilton.
Prince William will make a two-day visit to his duchy of Cornwall on Thursday and Friday, marking the first time he will spend the night away since his wife Catherine received her cancer diagnosis.
He has been by her side and taken her school tours, and his diary has been modified accordingly.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry arrived alone in the UK yesterday after flying from California for a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games today in London.
Prince Harry will not meet his family during his trip to Britain due to the monarch’s “full schedule” but insisted he “hopes to see them soon.”
The Prince had hoped to meet his estranged father, the King, during his trip, which follows an earlier quick visit in February after Charles’ cancer diagnosis. And Harry’s event was just three miles from where Charles was at Clarence House.
