Global superstar Lady Gaga has finally responded to her former classmate’s Facebook group post that stated she would “never be famous.”
The 38-year-old music icon has numerous hits under her belt along with Grammys and an Oscar win, but before she made it big, she was a student at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
For some reason, her classmates at the time created a Facebook group titled ‘Stefani Germanotta, you will never be famous’.
Now, Gaga has finally responded to the group’s existence with an inspiring message after a fan posted a screenshot of the group on her TikTok account.
“Some people I went to college with did this to me a long time ago,” Gaga captioned Wednesday’s post. “This is why you can’t give up when people doubt you or put you down — you have to keep going.”

The closed group, which Gaga fans have known about for years, contains just 12 members and features a photo of a younger Gaga with a black X placed directly over it.
