Anthony Davis landed a three-pointer on the buzzer to lift the Los Angeles Lakers to a thrilling 105-103 win and a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference final over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.
Davis has channeled the inner mind of former Lakers star Kobe Bryant, who has seven regular buzzer beaters for the most part ever.
The Lakers wore special ‘mamba’ black tribute jerseys after Bryant’s tragic death in a January helicopter crash, but his memory seemed to inspire his former squad to a dramatic victory.

Davis finished with 31 points, scoring their last 10 in the dramatic victory of the Western Conference
Davis – who confirmed that he called ‘Kobe!’ after drilling the winning shot – finished with 31 points, scoring his team’s last 10 in a 22-point second half as the Lakers braved another comeback in Denver.
LeBron James had 26 points and 11 rebounds for the Lakers, while Danny Green had 11 points.
The Nuggets trailed by a whopping 16 points before Nikola Jokic took control by scoring 11 consecutive Denver points, including a basket that left his side 103-102 by 20 seconds.
In a hectic finish, LA’s Alex Caruso missed a three-pointer before a shot from Green was blocked out of range with 2.1 seconds to go.

Rajon Rondo then found Davis near the sidelines, and the All-Star attacker found the basket from afar.
‘Special moment for a special player. Glad to be a part of it, ”James said.
Jokic had 30 points and nine assists for the Nuggets, while Jamal Murray had 25 points.
