General Hospital issued a content warning to viewers before airing episodes depicting a house fire amid the devastating Los Angeles wildfires across Southern California.

Upcoming episodes show a house fire and the character Michael Corinthos, played by Chad Duell, catching fire while inside.

It comes just two months after the actor announced his departure from the series by sharing a touching post on his Instagram account.

He wrote: ‘After many incredible years on General Hospital, I have decided to step away from the show. “It wasn’t an easy decision for me, but I feel like it’s the right time in my life.”

“I am beyond grateful to (executive producer) Frank Valentini, the cast, crew and everyone behind the scenes who have been like family to me during this incredible journey.”

Duell, who had been a regular on the soap since 2010, added: “To all the fans: thank you from the bottom of my heart for your unwavering support and for allowing Michael Corinthos to be a part of your lives.”

‘Your love and encouragement have meant a lot to me. This is not goodbye, it’s see you later. Much love, Chad.’

During his time on General Hospital, Chad earned six Daytime Emmy Award nominations for his performance, winning one in 2015 for Best Supporting Actor.

The show’s warning comes shortly after a star of the beloved series, Cameron Mathison, heartbrokenly revealed that she lost her home in the Los Angeles wildfires.
