Kylie Minogue has opened up about her newfound sense of confidence and liberation at the age of 56.

On Sunday night’s episode of The Project, the Australian pop star shared her excitement about upcoming shows and the inspiration behind them, hinting at a nostalgic trip through her illustrious career.

Reflecting on her current mental state, Kylie revealed: ‘I feel like, I don’t know, maybe it’s just something that comes with age or things are going pretty well.

‘Inhabiting my body and myself, and that’s quite liberating and I’m enjoying it.’

The Can’t Get You Out of My Head singer’s excitement about her tour was palpable as she delved into her preparations and revealed she’d been diving deep into her music archives.

In doing so, she stumbled upon a memorable performance at Liverpool’s Cream Nightclub in 1994, where she performed a 12-minute version of Confide in Me.

“I came across something the other day… I must have been doing a 12-minute version of Confide in Me and I thought, ‘Could someone have said that’s too much for her? ‘ But no, it was there!” Kylie said with a laugh.

Kylie recalled the hypnotic, trance-like qualities of music from that era, hinting that she plans to bring some of that energy back for her Australian fans.
