Kylie Minogue has paid the ultimate compliment to her home country.
The 56-year-old singer announced the dates for her world tour on Thursday, with Australia being the first taxi out of the gate.
The Tension Tour 2025 kicks off in Perth on February 15, before moving on to Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
After two shows in Sydney on March 1 and 2, the tour moves to Asia and then the UK.
Kylie fans went crazy this week when the singer announced a world tour and her upcoming 17th studio album Tension II.
The album, set for release on October 18, is a follow-up to 2023’s Tension, which received rave reviews from critics.
The two-time Grammy Award winner announced the news of her album with a short montage of photos on Instagram of herself in a flowing white dress on a beach with a funky beat playing in the background.
Kylie teased in the caption: ‘LOVERS… TENSION II… The sequel with NINE new tracks will be yours on October 18th!’
Fans of Kylie Minogue, 56, went wild on Thursday when the singer announced her 17th studio album Tension II, the sequel to 2023’s Tension, with the post receiving 20,000 likes in just one hour.

She also announced a world tour that will see her perform in Australia, Asia and the UK, sharing: ‘I’m beyond excited to announce the TENSION TOUR 2025.

Kylie released Tension a year ago on Sunday, so her more than three million followers were thrilled to have a brand new body of work so soon after.
Flooding the comments section, they wrote: ‘It’s like they’re mixing Aphrodite and Light Years’; ‘This is the creation we needed, a touch of Aphrodite with feelings of Light Years’.
Aphrodite is a 2010 album by Kylie, while she released Light Years in 2000.

Fans drew early comparisons between Tension II and previous albums, praising its visuals and demanding Kylie’s first tour in four years.

The lead single from the new collection, Lights Camera Action, will be released on September 27 and is available for pre-order now.
Tension II is expected to repeat the success of Tension, which outsold the entire UK charts’ top 20 combined, became her ninth number one album and gave Kylie her second Grammy.
Tension’s lead single, Padam Padam, was released in May 2023 and is a dance-pop and synthpop song with elements of electronic music and an Eastern European sound.
Padam Padam received critical acclaim from music critics, with many praising its catchy charm.
She won the inaugural award for Best Pop Dance Recording at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in February.
Tension II hopes to replicate the success of Tension, which outsold all of the top 20 hits in the UK charts combined, became her ninth number one album and earned Kylie her second Grammy.
Kylie screamed with joy the night it was revealed she had won her first Grammy in 18 years and her second overall.
Tension owes much of its success to TikTok, where Padam Padam went viral, proving the importance of social media in modern releases.
Kylie defeated the ageist industry when, at 55, Padam Padam became her biggest hit in over a decade despite facing an uphill battle on the radio.
Major radio stations refused to play Padam Padam, but fans were able to push the song into the UK top 10 through streaming and downloads.
“Of course, it’s a big moment for me, but it’s a big moment for other artists, especially women, who have this kind of prejudice or bias against them,” Kylie said. People in 2023.
“Like I say, I didn’t set out to do this. I was also the youngest and I had to fight to be heard or just to take up my space. The negative thing back then was, ‘Well, you’re 18, what do you know? ‘ So, throughout all the decades of my career, there’s been something, and here we are,” she continued.

With the success of Tension and the arrival of Tension II, Kylie is preparing for her 20th tour, and her first since the summer of 2019.
Kylie addressed her return to the charts on social media at the time, thanking fans for their support.
“I can’t thank you enough. My heart is filled with joy, so thank you so, so much,” she gushed.

Tension II will premiere on October 18th.
