Kylie Minogue got emotional as she took to the stage at BST Hyde Park in London on Saturday night.
The diminutive pop star marked a career milestone at the iconic event, returning to perform at the festival for the first time in nine years after her last appearance in 2015.
“I knew you’d be here tonight, but you still take my breath away, thank you,” she told the crowd of 65,000.
“I’m really aware that the last time I played BST was nine years ago. A lot has happened for me, for you, and for all of us,” Kylie continued.
“But here we are and I am very, very grateful.”
Kylie continued: “Nine years ago it was very different because a lot of (my) songs didn’t exist,” she said, mentioning her 2023 album Tension and its success.
“I wanna bottle this feeling up, any artist would. It’s because of you and I wish I had a better transition, but Hold onto Now,” she added, before launching into the hit song.
Kyle made sure all eyes were on her in a daring red vinyl jumpsuit as she took to the stage.

The 56-year-old hitmaker showed off her sensational figure in a form-fitting one-piece swimsuit that featured sheer mesh sleeves.
The All The Lovers singer added inches to her figure with a matching pair of high heels as she danced around the stage.
Leaving her long blonde hair loose, Kylie sported a glamorous makeup palette that included a striking red eyeshadow.
The pop star looked amazing in the outfit as she put on a spectacular performance singing her hits for the crowd.
This comes after Kylie teased how she plans to retire after being offered a lifetime residency in Las Vegas, according to mirror.
“I knew you’d be here tonight, but you still take my breath away, thank you,” she told the 65,000-strong crowd. “I’m very aware that the last time I played BST was nine years ago. A lot has happened for me, for you, for all of us. But we’re here and I’m so, so grateful.”
She released her new single My Oh My on Thursday and suggested she’s ready to release an album and go on tour.

“I’ve been offered a lifetime residency,” he told the Mirror, of Voltaire, part of The Venetian resort, where he played from November 2023 to May this year.
‘I mean, maybe I’ll just do the classic thing and end it there, it was brilliant, the shows just got crazier.
“It was what I expected. It was a mix between a 70s cabaret and Studio 54. People went crazy.”
