Kylie Jenner slammed over LA wildfires post hours after her $70million jet made 11th flight in two weeks - and third in one day

Kylie Jenner has been labeled a “climate criminal” after she released a statement about relief efforts amid the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, just hours after her private jet made its 11th flight since January 1.

Despite growing backlash against stars like her sister Kim Kardashian for excessive flying, the reality star-turned-businesswoman appears to have made no plans to minimize her use in 2025.

In fact, its £70 million luxury plane has flown 11 times since the start of the year, with the plane making three flights in one day on January 16.

According to statistics tracked by CelebrityJets, the flights have emitted around 162 tonnes of CO2 emissions to date.

It is the equivalent of the electricity consumption of 33 homes for one year, according to the Greenhouse Gas Equivalence Calculator.

Four of the 11 flights lasted less than an hour, and the plane spent a surprising 15 minutes in the air on one of those trips.

The billionaire, 27, was branded a “climate criminal” for her use of a $70 million plane that made three flights in one day on January 16.

The plane has also flown eight times since the catastrophic bushfires broke out on January 7.

It took one of its shortest trips on January 9 when it was in the air for 15 minutes, flying between Los Angeles and Camarillo, both in California.

The trip generated a ton of CO2 emissions and used 120 gallons of jet fuel.

Three days later it took off again, this time for a slightly longer 36-minute flight to Palm Springs, emitting another three tons of CO2 at a cost of $1,555.

Hours later, Kylie headed to London to support her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet at the premiere of his new Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, where the actor ironically appeared to divert a car in favor of a Lime bike for his arrival at the red carpet

Making the most of their time in Europe, the loved-up couple hopped back on the plane for a 47-minute flight across the English Channel to Paris, France.

The trip emitted four tons of CO2 and 361 gallons of jet fuel at a cost of $2,000, almost six times the price of a first-class single ticket on the Eurostar, which lasts just under three hours.

On its way back to the United States, the plane stopped in Fargo, North Dakota, then Rifle, Colorado, before ending in Teterboro, New Jersey, making three flights in 24 hours.

Her arrival coincided with a post from her Kylie Cosmetics Instagram account, promising to donate “skincare, body, hair and makeup products” to “help provide items that help Altadena teens feel safe and like themselves again.’

The statement said: ‘We are truly heartbroken to see the devastation caused by the fires in Los Angeles. Seeing so many people forced to evacuate and hearing the stories of those who have lost everything is deeply sad and difficult to understand.’

The post, which garnered 21,000 likes, sparked backlash over her use of her jet, with one follower telling her to “use your power accordingly.”

“Kylie is so fake, how is she going to share things about the Los Angeles fires when she is a huge contributor to the fires that started in the first place by overusing her private jet and has been using her jet for days while the fires still continue? Worms instead of brains.

This is not the first time Jenner has been accused of “ecoterrorism.”

In the summer of 2022, she was criticized for taking a 12-minute flight in her private jet, for a 42-kilometer trip that would have taken only 39 minutes by car.

The revelation followed a series of posts by the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star urging her fans to go green to save the planet.

She had always recommended the organic products she buys for her daughter Stormi.

She previously told her followers that she was going “vegan and clean” with her products because it was “time to elevate.”

Jenner is among a number of stars who have received criticism from environmental activists and the media for their excessive use of airplanes.
