After a tough time during Candy Week, the farmer fell at the final hurdle after judges deemed his caramel cake to be more like a tiramisu.
Inspired by his boyfriend’s favorite movie and the baking star’s favorite cocktail, Mike created a salted coffee caramel-inspired creation that included several layers of coffee-flavored cake spread with caramel mousse.
The impressive creation was topped with chunks of caramel popcorn, but unfortunately Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith felt the whole concoction failed.
Speaking on camera after hearing the news of their eviction, the bakers said it was time to leave.
Following the most recent episode of GBBO during Autumn Week, viewers shared their heartbreak after one of the show’s favorites was sent home because she failed to impress.

Nelly, who has proven popular throughout the show’s 15th season, landed in the bottom two after struggling with her seasonal pies on Tuesday’s episode.
Palliative care assistant Nelly, 44, became the sixth contestant to leave the Channel 4 show, the same week Sumayah was named Star Baker.
The contestants faced three seasonal challenges, including a sweet fall-inspired cake for their first task.
They were then faced with a vegan technician and asked to make parkin and beforehand created cakes celebrating seasonal vegetables for their spectacular product.
After her departure was announced, Nelly said: “It’s not commiseration, it’s a positive thing, I’m very ready to go.” I never thought I would make it to the sixth round! I know my children are very proud.

‘It’s not about teaching them to win, but about teaching them to enjoy. Don’t cry! Everyone cries… Of course I am happy, in each of their hearts there is a piece of Nelly and they will never forget me. Cake: we can bake it!’
She continued, “I was ready to go and I felt like it was my time to go.”
Nelly, who formed a close bond with presenter Noel Fielding on the show, added: “Noel was tasked with sending me home and he found that very difficult.
“I was looking at him and trying to hold him with my eyes to tell him it’s okay.
“But he couldn’t look at me, he was really upset.” The production team was crying and that really touched my heart.”
