Kylie Jenner’s relationship with Timothée Chalamet has survived because she refuses to play the publicity game and does not succumb to her mother Kris Jenner’s desire for the actor to proudly show off his daughter to the world.
The beauty mogul, 26, and the Dune star, 28, were photographed enjoying a date night on Friday, marking the first time they have been seen together in public since their PDA-filled appearance at this year’s Golden Globes in January.
The low-key couple continued their preference to keep their relationship under wraps as they attempted to go incognito in hats and masks at the TCL Chinese Theatre.
Kylie is reportedly keen to avoid their romance becoming a “spectacle” and is not pressuring the Wonka star to join her family reality show, The Kardashians.
“Kylie and Timothée are getting along so well because Kylie isn’t giving him ultimatums to be part of the Kardashians TV show,” a source exclusively told DailyMail.com.

A source told DailyMail.com: ‘Kris (Jenner) would love for Timothée to flaunt Kylie everywhere, but Kylie is making sure to fight this.’
‘Theirs is a more private relationship where they can be as normal a couple as possible considering their levels of fame.’
Momager Kris, 68, has reportedly expressed her desire for Kylie and her boyfriend to be more open about their relationship, but her daughter has been fighting back.
‘“Kris would love for Timothée to parade Kylie around, but Kylie will make sure to fight this because she really doesn’t want it to be a bigger spectacle than it already is,” the source said.
‘She wants to take care of the relationship and make it last and not make a mockery of it. They love doing normal and fun things together and are homebodies.
They also revealed that Timothée is equally dedicated to helping the relationship grow, despite previous claims that he was not prioritising the billionaire.
“Timothée wants to focus all his attention on her, not just on work,” they said. “He wants to be with Kylie for a long time.”
“When are the babies due? When is the engagement? When is the future wedding? While those things are definitely on the table, it’s not something for the immediate future.”
