Kylie Jenner hinted she might ‘get in the studio’, four years after her iconic wake-up song ‘Rise and Shine’ went viral as she hinted at a new career venture this week.
The 27-year-old reality star became the first Kardashian-Jenner to appear on the cover of British Vogue on Tuesday and spoke about “finally finding her place” in the fashion industry after devoting her 20s to motherhood in the accompanying interview.
But just a few months after bringing her high-end clothing line Khy to life, it seems Kylie already has other plans in the works.
When the magazine asked her if she ever dreamed of being a pop star as a child, she replied: “I think so. I always knew I never had a great voice or anything…”
“I should be a singer. No, really. Maybe when I’m done making clothes, I’ll get into the recording studio.”

Kylie showed off her current playlist, filled with classic hits from Aretha Franklin, The Beatles, Otis Redding and the occasional new song from Sabrina Carpenter.
‘Please, please, please, it’s for the best,’ he confirmed.
In October 2019, Jenner went viral when she shared a 16-minute tour of her Kylie Cosmetics office and ended the video by serenading her daughter Stormi.
Fans went wild over the clip of Kylie melodically singing “Rise and shine” to her little girl and instantly took to their social media to react.
The three-word wake-up call was referenced and sung by other celebrities and even remixed after she wowed everyone with her vocal talent.
Another fan went all out with an electronic-infused dubstep version of the song.
And just last month, Kylie revived his viral way of singing children’s melodies to share a clip of herself and her two-year-old son Aire singing the alphabet together.
In her caption, she referenced the three-word song ‘Rise and Shine,’ which she sang to wake up her daughter Stormi, now six, in 2019.

She shares Stormi and Aire with her ex-boyfriend, rapper Travis Scott, 33.
The former couple dated on and off for five years before splitting in late 2022, the same year they welcomed Aire.
Kylie’s older sister Kim once dabbled in music when she released the forgettable Jam (Turn It Up).
Mama Kris even got in on the action with her own song, I Love My Friends, which borrowed heavily from Randy Newman’s I Love LA and was released in 1985.
Although Mom’s song was practically forgotten, the mother’s family did not hesitate to give her song special treatment.
Her daughters lovingly made fun of the I Love My Friends music video in a birthday tribute for mom Kris’s 60th birthday in 2015.
The Kardashian siblings created a remix of the I Love My Friends music video and included their grandchildren in the performance.
Kim and her now ex-husband Kanye West, along with Kourtney Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick, included their children in the video.
And just last month, Kylie revived her viral way of singing nursery rhymes to share a clip of herself and her two-year-old son Aire singing the alphabet together.
Kris created a video for her 30th birthday that was a remake of Randy Newman’s 1983 song I Love LA.
Her version was titled I Love My Friends, and her daughters remade an updated version of the previous video, cut to a higher definition and resolution.
Kris’s daughters also made sure to update the brands and labels Jenner visited in her previous video, which previously included places like The Cheesecake Factory.
However, the new generation now includes visits to Chanel, Givenchy and shows with Birkin bags.
At the beginning of the video, the caption below reads: “For my mom’s 60th birthday, my sisters and I made a remix of the I Love My Friends video she made in 1985 for her 30th birthday. It has so many fun cameos, be sure to watch the whole thing!”
And indeed, there are numerous cameos throughout the video, including celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Cindy Crawford, Ryan Seacrest, Kyle Richards, Faye Resnick, Kathy and Rick Hilton, Justin Bieber, Joan Rivers, Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb, Drake and Jennifer Lawrence.
There is also a special message from pop star Katy Perry who said: ‘Who cares how old you are because to me you will always be young.’
Last year, most of the Kardashian family members were on hand to record a new Christmas album, except for the one who claimed to have the best voice: Kylie.
Kourtney Kardashian explained during the episode of The Kardashians that after Kris released a Christmas song in 2021, they decided to make a Christmas album.
“After my mom recorded her Christmas song, all of my sisters, like everyone else, have been talking about doing a Christmas album. I think it’s because we’re all obsessed with Christmas and all the proceeds are going to charity,” Kourtney said in a confessional.
They were later all spotted at Travis Barker’s recording studio for a tequila-fueled recording session, though Kylie was not present.
When a producer asked Kylie why she wasn’t there, she claimed she had other plans for her vocals.
“I have a different vision of myself in my singing career. I’m a very important singer and I have a very beautiful voice, but I don’t think it’s worth it, honestly,” she said before saying quietly: “Just kidding.”
