Kylian Mbappe reportedly came up with the idea of staying at PSG after negotiating a new contract with the club.
The 23-year-old Mbappe would leave the Parc des Princes this summer after his contract expires and seal a transfer to Real Madrid.
Reports suggested he pushed for a departure last summer but PSG are determined to keep him and are even said to have turned down a £134million offer from Real.

Instead, they valued the French World Cup winner at more than £175 million, deterring Los Blancos from making another offer with his contract expiring at the end of June.

The former ace of Monaco, who has netted 18 goals and 15 assists in 26 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season, recently reopened contract talks with the heads of Parc des Princes and is open to the idea of staying.

Any extension would likely be short-lived, but it would be a big boost for PSG amid fears their star player could walk free this summer.
Sporting director Leonardo insists Mbappe ‘has always promised he would never leave for free’ and even if he puts the new deal on paper, Real could still come back with another offer.
All eyes will be on Mbappe when PSG face Real in the last 16 of the Champions League next month, with the first leg in Paris on February 15.
He then heads to the Bernabeu, his potential next destination, for the all-important decider on March 9.
