I pretend to tan my 4 month old baby because I think he’s too pale but people tell me I’m selfish
- Kylen Suttner, 21, uses fake tan on her newborn baby
- Mom wants baby to look kissed by the sun
A mum has sparked fury after revealing the ‘selfish’ and ‘dangerous’ step she added to her newborn baby’s skincare routine.
Kylen, 21, recently admitted she used fake tan on her four-month-old baby to keep her skin looking sunkissed and rosy.
The new mum has shamed thousands around the world for her ‘disgusting’ choices and potentially ruined her child’s skin with the chemicals used in suntan mists.
Many have attacked her for her “recklessness”, with some even pointing out that the fake tan makes the child look jaundiced.

The mom posted a video explaining why she uses fake tan on her baby.
“When everyone tells me to stop self-tanning my baby but Loving Tan employees have families to feed,” she captioned the clip.
The video showed Kylen and her happy, dark-skinned baby.
She also admitted that “Loving Tan” was their “favorite” brand.
But many think the mom is joking because people often point out that her baby is quite “orange” and has jaundice.
Many were outraged by Kylen’s “ridiculous” parenting techniques.
“So the baby will grow up thinking he’s not naturally good enough, especially for the one person who should love him unconditionally,” one furious woman wrote.
“My God, these chemicals can hurt a little one’s skin,” said another. “Their skin is so sensitive when they’re babies.”
‘Disgusting!’ cried a third. ‘So awful.’
But others jumped on the bandwagon and praised her for the child’s looks.
‘You have to keep the tan, it’s a way of life!’ a woman wrote.
Another said: “That would be me if I had a kid.”
“I also pretend to tan my baby, and some people just don’t get it,” one mum revealed.
“Love it, wish I had her skin color,” one woman wrote.
