Kylee Enwright: Australian woman who fell from balcony on holiday in Thailand dies after community raises $200,000 to bring her home
An Australian grandmother who fell from a balcony while on vacation in Thailand has tragically died.
Kylee Enwright, 48, has been fighting for life in a coma since May 28 after falling heavily and hitting her face on a road while vacationing in the southern Thai resort of Khao Lak.
The community rallied around her family and raised the funds needed to fly Ms Enwright home to Australia.
Her husband Paul gave a heartbreaking update that she passed away on Tuesday morning.
“It is with the greatest sadness and heaviest heart that I would like to inform you of the sudden passing of Kylee Enwright today, Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 9:58 a.m.,” the heartbreaking social media post began.
“Kylee passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Kylee suffered a second brain bleed on Sunday morning which was catastrophic and unsurvivable. So far, Kylee had made incredible progress since his first brain injury suffered in Thailand on May 28, 2023.
“Kylee was a one-of-a-kind wife, mother to Harrison, Jacinda and Slade, grandmother to Aurora and Leo, and stepmother to Ellie and Xander. Kylee was one of the kindest and most generous people I have had the privilege of knowing.
Ms Enwright was a registered organ donor, giving eight people a second chance at life.
‘Kylee, rest in peace sweetie until we meet again. I love you,” concluded her husband.
