Kyle Sandilands surprised listeners on Thursday morning by revealing his surprising insight into Senator Lidia Thorpe’s recent outburst against King Charles.

The radio king, 53, was discussing the incident in which the Indigenous activist shouted “fuck the colony” and “you’re not my king” at Parliament House in Canberra on Monday.

The presenter, who has gained a reputation for his conservative views, revealed that he actually supported Thorpe’s actions.

—That Senator Thorpe scolded the king. “What you have to understand is that you may not agree with his relationship with the Royals,” Kyle began.

But she is fighting for her people. At least we know shit is going on, you know what I mean?

Meanwhile, co-host Jackie O Henderson, 49, was quick to agree with Kyle’s points.

Senator Thorpe’s outburst in Parliament on Monday was preceded by a bizarre altercation with police hours earlier.

As police ordered a small group of protesters outside the Australian War Memorial to move on, Ms Thorpe was seen arguing with a police officer who was grabbing her by the shirt.

She then took off her shirt and stormed away from the officer.

“Everything we suffer in this country is due to that colonial invasion,” he said after the incident.

Thorpe, who was elected as a Greens senator for Victoria before leaving that party and becoming an independent, has often been open about her feelings towards the monarchy.

‘Give us what you stole from us! Our bones, our skulls, our people, you destroyed our land,” Senator Thorpe shouted at the Monarch this week.

‘Give us a treaty, we want a treaty in this country! This is not your land, this is not your land! You are not my King, you are not our King. You are a genocide!’

As she was dragged from the scene, she was heard repeatedly shouting: ‘Fuck the colony.’

Thorpe’s outburst has received support from several high-profile stars, including American rapper Azealia Banks.
