Kyle Sandilands made a sensational exit from the KIIS FM studio on Thursday and did not return to finish the Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, 49, was preparing to broadcast an audio clip of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Joel Madden discussing how younger generations of men are more adept at talking about their emotions when the explosion occurred.

Kyle, 52, became irritated, calling the couple “weak” and refusing to listen to the audio.

Sandilands then left the studio angrily, stating: “I’m sick of men crying, be a man,” he exclaimed.

Jackie replied, “I can’t believe you’re leaving and being so excited.”

“Just so you know, you cried on (Australian) Idol last week, so what are you doing, you big sissy,” she shouted.

Kyle never returned and Jackie was forced to continue the segment with one of the show’s interns, Alfie.

It comes after the radio stars took their war with Nova to the next level before their show expands to Melbourne next month.

Earlier this month, Kyle and Jackie made a bold prediction about how their show would be received in Melbourne when it premieres next month.

The pair claimed their breakfast show would develop a large audience throughout the year and become the highest-rated show in town.

“A lot of monsters out there will come to love us. I don’t think it will be right away, it will take a few investigations to realistically resolve them,” Kyle told the Sun Herald.

“I don’t think it will be immediate, but by the end of the year, yes (we will be number one).”

Jackie added that she was confident their show would eventually beat Melbourne’s other top-rated radio programs.

“We’re just going to do our thing and whether it’s slow or instant impact, I have no doubt it will be series number one eventually,” she said.

Sandilands left the studio angrily: “I’m sick of men crying, be a man,” he exclaimed.

“We don’t think about the ratings, we just have fun.”

The Kyle and Jackie O Show will face tough competition when it premieres in Melbourne on Monday, April 29, as Fox FM’s breakfast show Fifi, Fev & Nick has recently dominated the city’s radio ratings.

The Kyle and Jackie O Show is currently the most listened to radio show in Sydney, with 851,000 cumulative listeners every weekday.
