Kyle Sandilands did not have to wait in line as he received his first coronavirus vaccine on Tuesday afternoon at Westmead Hospital in Sydney’s west.

The KIIS FM radio host, who turns 50 on Thursday, boasted he didn’t have to wait for his jab The Kyle and Jackie O Show this morning.

He responded to a viral thread on reddit in which an anonymous user claimed that Kyle “cut the vaccine line before my very eyes.”

The Reddit user clarified that they weren’t offended by Kyle being swept up front and actually thought it was funny.

“People seem to think I’m really shocked by this. Not me,’ they said.

“The look of the huge queue and pulling him up in his Bentley were just too funny not to share. I think if this encourages its listeners to get the jab, I’m all for it.

“He didn’t push physically. He was accompanied by media. Not really upset. I just found it entertaining during my boring wait.’

In a statement to the Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday night, Kyle’s management team confirmed that he had not physically pushed through.

But the radio host admitted on Wednesday that he had received special treatment from hospital staff because of his celebrity status.

He told listeners, ‘I probably cut in front of about 70 people. But that’s what happens when you’re white, old, fat, male and a celebrity. Privilege still exists.’

Kyle was also allowed to skip the line for promoting the Covid-19 vaccine on social media. He was not paid for this.

The controversial media personality received his first vaccine at Westmead Hospital in Sydney on Tuesday.

The Kyle and Jackie O Show shared photos and videos of his visit to the vaccine clinic on Instagram later that day.

Kyle bit the bullet and got his first Covid-19 vaccination this year! Great job king!’ they posted.

In one video, the shock jock admitted he couldn’t understand the fear of getting the vaccine, saying, “It’s one needle to save us all.”

Kyle said he wanted to get the vaccine because he hoped to vacation to Hawaii by the end of the year.

“I just want to go to Hawaii, that’s why I’m here, and if getting this vaccination means we’re one step closer to happening, that’s a good thing,” he said.

Destroying anti-vaxxers, he added that it’s “in everyone’s best interest to get the vaccine. I don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t get it.’
