Kyle Sandilands decided to cancel his birthday party at the last minute on Monday because he didn’t feel like getting out of bed.
The radio host and his family were heading to the Japanese restaurant Nobu to celebrate his 53rd birthday.
But he decided to cancel his party at the last minute even though everyone had already arrived.
‘I cancelled it. I just didn’t feel like having family lunch at Nobu,” revealed Kyle when he arrived at the KIIS FM studios on Tuesday morning.
He explained that his driver and security team were ready to accompany him to the Crown for lunch when he changed his mind.

‘The driver was ready, security and mom were there. “Everyone was dressed up and I decided I wasn’t celebrating and I was going to go back to bed,” he added.
It comes after Kyle’s co-host Jackie O Henderson was left red-faced on Friday after suffering an accidental mishap during her breakfast show on KIIS FM.
The radio queen, 49, accidentally showed off her entire team as she propped her legs up on her desk before a producer intervened.
‘Jackie is just a request from the whole team. “You’re showing… all of us right now,” the producer said.
Kyle intervened: ‘I told you to get your feet off the desk. That’s not ladylike.
The radio host, 53, explained that he canceled his party because he wanted to ‘go back to bed’ even though everyone had already arrived.
Referring to the infamous interrogation scene from the 1992 thriller Basic Instinct, Jackie joked: “Did I just be Sharon Stone to you all?”
“No, I’m wearing boxers,” he clarified before cheekily putting his legs back up on the desk.
