The 54-year-old businessman, estranged husband of Kyle Richards, stars on the show alongside his daughters Farrah and Alexia.

Sources said Deadline The cancellation is due to ratings rather than production costs.

Another point of tension on the show was Umansky’s strained relationship with his brother-in-law Rick Hilton.

The split between the former business partners was the catalyst for the creation of The Agency.

There was also a narrative-driven second season based on Kyle and Mauricio’s daughter, Sophia, who becomes involved in the family business.

The unscripted show is set to premiere in late 2022.

Promoting the series on social media at the time, the patriarch wrote in a caption: ‘I’m beyond excited to share that @theagencyre is coming to Netflix in Buying Beverly Hills, premiering this fall.

‘I’ll be starring alongside my daughters, @farrahbritt and @alexiaumansky, and a talented group of agents from The Agency in Beverly Hills.’

In a season two episode, Richards and Umansky joked about what each will get in their divorce — the former couple announced their split in October 2023.

On the second season of Buying Beverly Hills, the reality TV personality, 55, and the real estate agent, 53, were seen joking around after it emerged they had split after 27 years of marriage.

One episode also included a scene in which the real estate mogul admitted he was afraid to ask his ex-wife if she was dating his close friend, singer Morgan Wade.

There was also a scene that showed the parents sitting down with their daughters (they have four in total) to address the news of their split after it initially hit the media.

“We should talk about it now that we’re all here, by the way,” Richards began before adding, “Because what happened so suddenly took us all by surprise.”

The duo continued to navigate their split throughout episodes of the second season, with Umansky admitting in one episode that he hadn’t had a real conversation with his wife in “two months.”
