Kyle and Jackie O’s “Intern Pete” creates a security incident outside Anthony Albanese’s Kirribilli home, before learning that the Prime Minister isn’t even there.
Serial prankster Pete Deppeler created chaos on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Friday after causing a security incident outside the prime minister’s house.
Deppeler, producer of the hit show KIIS FM, arrived in a limousine to pick up Anthony Albanese for a live interview, only to discover that the Prime Minister was in Brisbane.
In his guise as the ‘Intern Pete’ character, Deppeler quickly attracted the attention of two police officers who were in the security detail guarding the entrance to the prime minister’s Kirribilli home.
A video of the shaming debacle, which was broadcast live, was later posted on the Kyle and Jackie O Show social media.
It shows Deppeler apologizing to the two policemen, who seem amused by the prankster’s antics.

Later, during a live phone interview, host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, 49, asked the Albanese Prime Minister about the incident.
“I have received alerts that intern Pete has caused trouble,” the prime minister joked.
He interrupted me on election night… I think there’s a picture of him in Kirribilli.
It is possible that the next time he comes he will be stopped.
Kyle then suggested that PM security should ‘shoot’ Inter Pete as soon as they see him.
“That could be too much paperwork,” the prime minister quipped.
Intern Pete’s character has a long history of awkward and ridiculous stunts, including interrupting Anthony Albanese’s victory speech in May 2021, after Labor’s victory in the federal election.

Pushing his own was Deppeler at the front of the crowd as Intern Pete yelled ‘we love Albo’ as the Prime Minister-elect spoke.
At one point it was even featured as part of the radio show.
The Albanese PM finally had enough and after telling them no and shutting up several times.
‘Can we have a little order please? I intend to run an orderly government and it starts here. So behave yourself! she joked.

In a subsequent phone interview with Kyle and Jackie O, Kyle Sandilands suggested to the Prime Minister that the next time Inmate Pete shows up at Kirribilli security he should “shoot him on sight”. However, the prime minister suggested that this could create “too much red tape”.
