An overbearing mother who demanded her 20-year-old daughter terminate her pregnancy stunned Jackie ‘O’ Henderson and Kyle Sandilands.
The woman, named Cathy, called for The Kyle and Jackie O Show Wednesday and revealed she was pressuring her daughter to have an abortion.
Cathy argued that at 20, her daughter was simply too young to raise a child.
Jackie, who was shocked by the admission, said: ‘She’s 20, Cathy. It’s old.’
Refusing to budge on the issue, Cathy fired back: “She has her whole life ahead of her. She lives at home.

Cathy also confessed that she would allow her daughter to keep the baby if she married her partner, but said her daughter didn’t feel like walking down the aisle.
Unimpressed, Jackie replied, “It’s a big call, Cathy, to say that someone should terminate their pregnancy because of an archaic belief.”
She added: ‘It’s ultimately her decision and I don’t think you can ever tell your daughter to terminate her pregnancy. You don’t want to ruin your relationship with your daughter.
Jackie’s co-host Kyle seemed more sympathetic to Cathy’s plight, so the pair invited listeners to call in for their thoughts.
The first caller, named Karen, broke down in tears when she revealed her own mother pressured her to end a pregnancy at 20, and then couldn’t have children after this due to medical complications.
“I’m 50 now and I regret doing it,” she said, becoming emotional.

Not only did Karen admit that she regretted the decision, but she also said that her own mother also regretted it and was in therapy for the ramifications of the abortion.
However, another caller then weighed in and urged Cathy’s daughter to terminate the pregnancy.
The man, a father of two, said he was working two jobs and could barely support his family and wished he could settle down financially before having children.
He was followed by another caller, a woman, who was obviously outraged by any discussion of the child’s abortion.
“I had a child at 21 and I raised this child on my own, no matter the cost, no matter how hard it was and I had people against me for having the child,” she raged.
“I do not regret this child for a single moment! she added, before launching into a shouting match with the male caller.
