Kuchar leads Sony Open with 2 shots

HONOLULU (AP) – Matt Kuchar kept a clean card and shot a 4-under 66 to take a lead of two shots in the final round of the Sony Open, while this season for his second victory at the PGA Tour.

Kuchar ended a three-year drought by winning the Mayakoba Classic last fall in Mexico.

He made only one bogey by 54 holes at Waialae Country Club and his 18-under 192 was the lowest score of 54 holes in his career.

Andrew Putnam left two shots after a 67.

Keith Mitchell had a 63 and was four behind, together with Chez Reavie (66).

Those were the only players within five shots of the leader and they all chase Kuchar. He is 2-2 in his career at the start of the final round.
