Kristen Stewart during a talk show visit on Monday revealed that her Panic Room co-star Jodie Foster threw her an 11th birthday party.

The 33-year-old actress, while appearing on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in a long, sleeveless black dress with revealing side cutouts, was asked about her relationship with Jodie, 61.

Back in 2002 you and Jodie were in Panic Room together and like you she was a child actress and very successful, also directs and is openly gay. Do you keep in touch?, said Stephen, 59.

Kristen said she watched the Oscars on Sunday and cried when she saw Jodie at the awards.

‘Crying. Jodie so sweet. Her face, I don’t know what it is, man. There are some people you last forever, dude. It’s not like we talk all the time, Kristen said.

‘What do you remember from doing Panic Room with her? How old were you when you made Panic Room? Stephen asked.

‘Ten. She actually threw me a birthday party when I turned 11 with a mariachi band. Yes, she said, ”Don’t forget it. You’re a child.” I was so obsessed with being on stage and working and not going to school. I was like, “I want to make movies until I die.” And she said, “you should do anything but that because you’re a real person,”’ Kristen said.

“It felt protective and lovely,” Kristen said. “In hindsight, I understand because every time I see a kid on set, I’m like, ‘What about college, man? Maybe you want to direct films? You should explore all the possibilities.”

Kristen was on the CBS talk show to promote her new romantic thriller Love Lies Bleeding.

The film was directed by English director Rose Glass, 34, from a script she co-wrote with Weronika Tofilska.

Kristen portrays reclusive gym manager Lou, who falls hard for budding bodybuilder Jackie (Katy O’Brian). Their relationship sparks violence and draws them deep into the web of Lou’s crime family.

Love Lies Bleeding premiered in January at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and was released in limited theaters last week by A24 ahead of its wider theatrical release on Friday.
