Kristen Bell revealed she managed to sneak a cheeky joke into one of the songs from Disney’s Frozen.

The actress, who voices Princess Anna in the 2013 film and its 2019 sequel, shared that many viewers, including most parents, missed a double entender in the song For the First Time in Forever .

Bell reviewed his character’s scene and highlighted the lyrics: “For years I’ve wandered these empty halls / Why have a ballroom without balls?” in a TikTok interview with vanity fair published on Wednesday.

With a knowing smile, he asked, ‘How did we get that joke in there?’ Come on!’ And he quickly added: “We went unnoticed.”

The line almost didn’t make the final cut. According to Bell, the team had to downplay its suggestive nature to ensure it remained in the song.

“I almost didn’t make it in,” he admitted. “But then we said, ‘What are you talking about? That’s not what it means. “Don’t be a pervert.”

In the end, the lyrics remained, adding a subtle and humorous touch to the film, which became a Disney classic. Its sequel even became the highest-grossing animated film of all time.

Reflecting on her experience working on the two Frozen films, Bell shared with the outlet that she really enjoyed bringing Princess Anna to life.

“I had always dreamed, like many people, of participating in a Disney animated film,” he admitted.

“They are so formidable in your life when you’re young and I was obsessed with them,” she continued. “I remember sitting in my living room with my little old boombox, like recording myself singing, ‘The Little Mermaid, in case I ever needed that tape.’

When Bell found out she had been cast as Princess Anna, she was overjoyed with excitement.

“It occurred to me that I would do anything they asked me to do,” he continued.

“But what I should bravely strive for is to create a character that I really needed to see when I was 11, who was someone like this character. Fortunately, they let me do it.”

Disney has announced the official release date for Frozen 3, which will hit theaters on November 24, 2027 during the Thanksgiving holiday.

The latest update comes months after Disney CEO Bob Iger said in November last year that a fourth installment of the animated franchise is also in the works.
