Brooklyn-based Kraft Heinz Company and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream teamed up to create a limited-edition cheese-flavored macaroni and ice cream, which debuted last week and sold out quickly.

The food quirk also stormed the internet via social media at the same time.

“Who would have thought #NationalMacAndCheeseDay would break the internet,” said Van Leeuwen in a Instagram posted last Wednesday.

“We’re so flattered by the overwhelming response to this low-cost partnership with our friends Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.”

Meanwhile, Kraft Heinz Company celebrated the bizarre food creation, adding that the icy partnership came just in time for the summer season.

“We know that on a hot summer’s day, there’s nothing more refreshing than ice cream. That’s why we wanted to combine two of the most iconic comfort foods to create an ice cream with the unforgettable taste of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese that we all grew up with,” said Emily Violett, senior associate brand manager for Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. a pronunciation.

The company said more mac and cheese ice cream would be on the way. It sells for $12 a pint.

So how does it taste?
