After being revealed at the PlayStation Showcase event, Konami has released the first images of its new Metal Gear Solid 3, dubbed Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater.
The four images mainly focus on the environmental details of the remake, from the details of tree leaves to the way the sun shines through the forest. A Soviet soldier appears in one of the shots, while a ferocious crocodile appears in another.
The events of the original game take place in a fictional forest environment in the USSR, and one of the main ideas of the game was that Snake must eat food to survive, which forced him to hunt the local wild animals, and crocodiles are among the most fierce enemies in the game, where you by hitting Snake with their tails or biting his leg.
Konami has confirmed that all four images are from an in-development version of the game, giving players a clearer glimpse of what to expect from the new version.
Besides announcing the new Metal Gear Solid 3, Konami has also confirmed the release of Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1, which will feature the first three games. It’s set to release in Fall 2023, with Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake rumored to release sometime in 2024.
