Kobe Bryant’s 2000 NBA championship ring sold at auction for nearly $1 million.

The auction closed with a top bid of $927,000 for the ring used to commemorate Bryant’s first NBA championship with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The sale reportedly set the record for the most expensive NBA title ring, according to Goldin, who commissioned the auction.

The previous record belonged to a 2021 auction where Bill Russell’s 1957 championship ring with the Boston Celtics was awarded.

The ring was originally a gift from Bryant to his father Joe ‘Jellybean’ Bryant.

A specially made copy of a 2000 NBA title ring that Kobe Bryant gave to his parents is for sale

It is not an executive version of the ring, but a copy of the same ring that the players obtained.

The ring is an additional copy of Kobe’s title gift that he specifically ordered to be given to his father more than 20 years ago.

According to Goldin, this is not an executive version of the championship ring, but rather the exact ring given to Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal and other Lakers players.

This is the same ring that the Bryant family attempted to sell in 2013 before the decision came under fire for attempting to reveal a piece of NBA history. More than a decade later, a sale occurred.

More than 40 bids were placed on Bryant’s ring, which features 40 diamonds in one 14-carat piece. The ring also features the number 8, which Bryant wore during the first decade of his NBA career, according to Goldin.

Goldin did not reveal the name of the new owner.
