Police threw him to the ground and saw him face up with officers standing over him, the newspaper reported. The New York Post.

“The attacker was dressed like a character from a game, with an axe at his waist, wearing a bulletproof vest and helmet and his face covered,” the Eskisehir Durum website reported.

The images he took of himself show that he was also wearing protective glasses over his mask, completely obscuring his face.

Several news sites claimed he was also wearing a “black sun” – a Nazi symbol made up of several swastikas – on his chest.

The attacker did not shout or express any motivation for his actions, according to the Cumhuriyet newspaper, which said he was “influenced by war games.”
