Shoppers go crazy for a budget purchase at Kmart, which is almost ten times cheaper than its brand-name counterpart.
In a land where the unwary appear everywhere, it was only a matter of time before an affordable version of Sol de Janeiro’s popular Bum Bum Cream hit the market.
Kmart’s OXX Cosmetics just launched an entire line of products apparently inspired by Sol de Janeiro, including lotions, mists, body butters, and fragrances.
In particular, beauty lovers are rushing to purchase the Beach Bliss Summer Solstice Body Butter ($8) and claim that it smells “exactly the same” as the Bum Bum Brazilian Cream ($77).
“I ran to Kmart as soon as I saw this online and I’m in love,” one fan wrote. “It smells exactly the same – the perfect hoax!”

Aussies can also get both purchases along with a lip balm in a gift set for $16.
Other scents from the Sol de Janeiro range are also offered, including the popular Coco Cabana, which is similar to Kmart’s ‘Coconut Waves’ range.
Bibs, on TikTok, revealed that the scent was a mix of coconut, hazelnut and vanilla.
“It’s so good, especially the big, thick lip balms,” she said. “The whole thing smells very similar… it’s a good deception.”
