Kmart fans are racing to get their hands on a $10 version of a “cult” fashion buy that’s one of the “must-have” pieces of 2024.
Kmart’s $10 ribbed-embroidered tank bears a striking resemblance to Spanish luxury brand Loewe’s $665 ribbed-embroidered stretch-cotton tank.
Instagram account Kmartinsider shared the fashion find which comes in black and white, and features an iconic “anagram” pattern similar to that of the Loewe T-shirt.
When shown a side-by-side comparison between Loewe and other designs from Camilla & Marc ($150) and Seed ($39.95), the people behind Kmart Insider thought Kmart’s $10 tank top was the winner: “I’d choose the Anko logo over everything else.”
“The Kmart design team is amazing and I’m here to support them, honestly. I’m a huge fan. Ten out of ten,” said one woman.
“The Kmart cut is far superior,” added another.
Affordable style enthusiast Courtney Vincent from Perth called Kmart’s new launch the tank “you need” in a video posted on TikTok.
And one fan of the trendy crew neck tee agreed, saying that having just one colour wasn’t enough: “I have the white one and I definitely want the black one too.”
Kmart just launched its Ribbed Embroidered Tank Top, for $10, it comes in a black and white version and is available in sizes 6 to 20.

C&M and Seed also have their own dupes of Loewe’s cult T-shirt, but fans agree that Kmart’s is the best-designed and best value for money.
Australians were shocked that people would pay $650 more to get their hands on the designer version, when the Kmart tank is almost identical and such “incredible” value.
This stylish and versatile piece is crafted from ribbed cotton fabric for an “amazing fit” and is available in sizes 6-20.
Buyers couldn’t believe the price at which alternative design versions were being sold.
One woman was shocked at the idea of spending $655 more on the Loewe tank top when the $10 version was nearly identical: “$665 for a tank top! Seriously, what a joke.”
“The lady at Kmart seems happier… because she didn’t waste most of her paycheck,” another woman joked.
Cash-strapped Australians struggling with the cost of living crisis are increasingly turning to bargain stores such as Kmart and Target to keep up with the latest fashions.
This new seasonal release comes after Kmart’s launch of the coveted Slingback Kitten Heel for $22.
Kmart fans said the slingback heels were almost identical to Miu Miu’s patent bow slingback heels that sell for $2,070 and were one of the biggest trends of 2023.
The elegant heels come in classic black and a chic burgundy color.
“$22 heels that look authentic. I’ll take both colors please,” one woman said.
