One shopper had to quickly face reality after complaining about a pair of $2.50 bikini briefs she bought at Kmart, thinking they were swim shorts.
The woman said she’s not one to complain, but she was shocked when she jumped into the pool during a family barbecue and her white “bikini” became “see-through.”
‘How are we supposed to swim freely if everything is literally visible as soon as we get wet?’ she raged.
She also posted a photo of the bikini in question, and people were quick to point out her mistake.
“Bikini panties are called that because of their shape, not because they are bikinis,” said one woman.

“Briefs are underwear shaped like boxers, but I’m sorry this happened to you,” said another.
‘Didn’t the fact that there was no bikini top indicate that something was wrong? What did your family think when you paraded in an invisible bikini? said one woman’s ironic response.
But the woman did not accept any criticism and responded to each response.
“Don’t make up lies just to defend Kmart,” he wrote in the Kmart Mums group.
‘I’m sorry honey, but that sounds bad to me. If a bikini is not a swimsuit, what is it? Is it the opposite day? she asked.
“Kmart is literally a billion-dollar company – they wouldn’t lie about what the word means,” she responded to one woman, who explained that most companies have a range of bikini briefs.
One woman said the ‘lace part’ on the underwear should have made her realize they were not swimmers.
‘Excuse me? “I have a lot of lace swimsuits and none of them turn out see-through,” the poster scolded angrily.
The post quickly attracted hundreds of comments, but the woman’s antagonistic responses put people off.
“I think you need professional help,” one woman said.
“I think this is a scam to get people talking here,” said another.
“Well, that’s my morning entertainment,” one mother laughed.
Others tried to downplay the situation.
“I wear three pairs at a time,” one woman said.
