Kmart customers have been caught on a wave of nostalgia after noticing an iconic piece of furniture from the ’90s and ‘200s on shelves.

The budget retailer has quietly restocked inflatable lounge chairs more than two decades after they burst into living rooms across the country.

The lounge chairs, which are available in pink and blue, cost just $8 and have been described as perfect for camping and festivals.

But hundreds of customers have revealed that they only need one for nostalgia.

“I remember saying I would only have inflatable furniture in my house when I moved,” admitted one Australian millennial.

And hundreds more agreed.

‘Me too, now that dream can come true. 2025 is my year!’

“I think we were all dreaming of halls full of this,” said another.

Others might remember the time when inflatable furniture became popular.

“I was in fifth grade and they also had pencil cases and backpacks,” one woman said.

“It was the year 2000 and I had to have one because all my friends had them,” said another.

“When I was 16 I had a purple double sofa in my room,” one woman said.

“They actually got big in the mid-90s,” another added.

People said they would go straight to the stores to buy one.

“Just in time for summer, the stickiness, the sweat,” one woman laughed.

“And the squeaky moans they used to make when it was hot too,” one man added.

But some people were not convinced by the new design.

‘Where are the armrests?’ a woman asked.

Others were unimpressed for other reasons.

“Imagine trying to get out of that when you’re 30,” one man said.

‘Not to brag, but I had the whole lime green living room set. “I hate green and they were very uncomfortable,” added another.

A third said: “The fumes from the original set I had in the 90s made me really sick.”

“Aren’t we all working hard to reduce plastic use? It’s just more plastic and I’d honestly prefer shopping bags to this trash,” another complained.
