Shoppers are flocking to Kmart after discovering a new $40 winter wardrobe staple, and fashionistas have compared it to a high-end purchase worth nearly $4,000.
The Kmart Crop Trench Coat ($40) is available in a sandstone hue in sizes eight to 20.
Australians have noted how the budget buy bears a strong resemblance to similar trenches from Burberry ($3,350) and Loewe ($3,990).
All items are in similar shades and feature lapel collars, oversized sleeves, pockets and shoulder loops; Kmart and Loewe pieces also feature dropped shoulders.
The purchase has been dubbed “perfect” for the upcoming Australian winter as it can be used to expertly style outfits and adds a touch of elegance to any look.
